Pairs.....

This week, I hurt my back while moving some stuff. My back injury put me down and out for most of the week. This week, Buddy got sick and was sent home early from school on Wednesday...putting him down and out for most of this week........... Which just means that we made a fine pair.....

All week long Buddy has been referring to us as the sickies....that is, when he takes a break from telling me that he thinks I'm getting so old that all of my parts are breaking......I think he may be onto something there!!! So all in all a super fantastic, not that old, day! 

Planners....

Buddy decided to invite a bunch of friends over yesterday to hang out at our house. Apparently, standing was optional....

Weird boys!!!! So all in all a super fantastic, not standing around, day!

Movers and Shakers....

I haven't blogged for a while.  Between moving out of our old house and into our new one, with a broken foot a bad back and a 10 year old that needs love and attention, I have been too tired to hook up a computer to actually type coherent sentences. Thankfully, I decided coherency is highly overrated, so here is our week of awesomeness. First up, Shane the super hero, went to go help one of my friend's fix her flat tire...we decided that we're getting too old to jack up a car and borrowed a few young'ens to do the job for us....

Suckers!!!!! Look they're even smiling like they're enjoying themselves! 

Sadly, our transitioning into the house has been a little rough, so we've had to take some time suffering through a few steam sauna's at our new house to push us through....

That's right, I said steam sauna!!!!! We may not have any working toilets in this house, be we have a working steam sauna!!!!! Being able to flush a toilet is so highly overrated!!!!! It's probably a good thing I live in a house full a boys, so that the toilet thing isn't that big of an issue. In other news....

Well, OK, that last picture isn't really news, but it's funny, so it should totally count for something! So all in all a super fantastic, almost done moving....now we need a place to pee, day!

Party central.....

Yesterday was my birthday. To celebrate this year, I went a little wild and crazy and started packing and moving into our new house. I even upped the crazy factor  by doing it with a cast on my broken foot. I decided that wasn't awkward and uncomfortable enough, so I decided to do it with a cold and while having my period.You can't accuse me of not knowing how to have a good time, and you definitely can't accuse Buddy....

Today he went to a birthday party where they played flashlight tag (the birthday boy's mom said she was inspired by me)....AWESOME!!!!!! Buddy decided to take along a little present.....

That is, a little present in a big box filled with paper anyway. He even decided to "struggle" with the box all the way to the door....I'm not sure where he gets his prankster ways from? In other news....just kidding, I don't have anymore news....other than I'm waiting for the magical packing fairies to just make the moving process done....of course,  I'm also waiting for those magical fairies to renovate my 1983 styled home. Heck, while I'm at it, maybe I'll wait for them to pay the mortgage too? Magical fairies rock!!!!! So all in all  super fantastic,  party animals, day!

Excuses....

Buddy will do anything to get out of doing homework....

That's him fantastically wiping down the walls in the new house for me, which I wholeheartedly appreciate....his teacher, probably not so much! So all in all a super fantastic, at least we'll have clean walls, day!

Pump it up!

Yesterday I had an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon. It only took 3 months to get an appointment! Things are so speedy on this island! Turns out the foot that I always thought was broken since my fall 3 months ago, actually is broken (pretty certain the lingering pain and swelling was a clue). Now I'm thinking I shouldn't be charged by the doctor reading any of my multiple X-rays....but that's just me! So now, in a feeble attempt to avoid surgery, I'm wearing a boot, fancy Air Jordan style (you remember those right, you put them on and then pump up the tongue for an oh so snug fit)...

Thankfully, I have a little helper that is OBSESSED with pumping up my boot! Such a good boy! In other news, we bought a house. I always felt like I needed a house full of children, so I borrowed a few from the neighborhood and put them in my empty house....

Then I put them on the shelf because they were bugging me and called it good! Their mothers called, turns out they wanted their kids back, who knew?  In other, other news, Shane is cultivating a mini-me....

There could be worse things to cultivate! So all in all a super fantastic, pump it up, day!

Spent....

Yesterday we went to 3 parties.....I used to think I was a party animal, but that was before I discovered a wonderful thing called sleep. At least one of the parties had some refreshments on such a hot sunny day....

In other news, we completed our 5th wardrobe change for the Halloween season...

Ugggh...I had so many people question my lameness of costumes that I actually went to sleep dreaming of costumes and an air carrier that I was going to construct for next years costume prop! So I have vowed to myself, next year's costume MUST HAVE A PROP or Buddy will be inclined to be presto-chango man, because costumes are only awesome when you have a prop???? FYI-I did turn the wagon into a nest with some glow in the dark eggs and the boys took turns in the nest laying eggs, to Trick-or-Treat in. But large, bulky costumes constructed with chicken wire are not the most practical things to go to parties in! Oh well, there's always next year to get back our game! So all in all a super fantastic, really need a nap, day!
