Making a Racquet.....

I introduced Buddy to the world of Raquetball yesterday after school....

He introduced me to the world of "Angry Birds" Lollipops...
Thankfully we all survived the introductions...well, maybe the Angry Bird lollipops didn't, but they were tasty and deserved to die! Buddy like his introduction so well he wants to go again tonight....and basically every other night this week. I'm not certain if it's the game, or the fact that his farts echo fantastically in the court that he thinks is so awesome! Well, who am I to judge in a room full of awesome...and stench? So all in all a super fantastic, making a racquet, day!

Let me take a selfie....

Someone has been hitting puberty around here hardcore. In honor of that, the aforementioned "someone" has been practicing all the necessary survival skills needed for those dreaded teenage years. First and foremost, the selfie....
He's still working on his duckface to really get it right. Thankfully, he hasn't hit full blown puberty yet, because he still did this on his own yesterday when we were leaving the pool.

And he still holds my hand while we walk to school....although today he was pretending he was a T-Rex with stumpy hands for me to hold onto, but I'll take it!
So all in all a super fantastic, trying to not grow up too fast, day!

Thankfully thankful for thanking with thanks!!!

Somehow I've missed a whole week of blogging....amazing what happens when you get distracted by silly things,  like taking care of your kid! It just so happens I've been taking real good care of my kid by letting him put up ALL of the Christmas decorations by himself...
Soldering  the train tracks to go around our Christmas Tree all by himself...
I did feel bad about this one, but he looked like he knew what he was doing, so I let him have at it....If it makes anyone feel better that I let my kid solder a project by himself for 2 hours, I did ask him if he was okay every few minutes......well, every 30 minutes. Well, I definitely asked him if he was okay every hour,  I'm a good mom like that! This past week Buddy has also been in charge of entertaining the troops...
And entertaining the older, more distinguished troops...
Of course I'm talking about the older ladies that were around me that somehow got cropped out of my photos.....errrrrm.... In other news, the Native Americans saved Thanksgiving....again! My friend (who happens to be Navajo) invited us over to Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Thank goodness, because THIS IS ALL I MADE for the occassion....
One small, lonely and overcooked duck! In exchange, she will be issuing me a blanket of smallpox of my very own....I'm really hoping she was kidding, but her food was delicious, so I think it'll be worth it in the end!!! In other, other news, the boys and I were just horsing around today...

What can I say?  Some of us are just better horses than others! So all in all a super fantastic, taking real good care of my kid(s), day!

First time for everything....

Buddy took off for his first overnight camp out without his mommy.......
He's taking it so hard that he decided he should sit on the fence and wait 45 minutes until his ride showed up while strumming a few tunes. I'll just pretend that he at least thought about me once since he's been gone (although I'm guaranteeing that if he did have any thoughts of me they would revolve around me putting up his tent, washing his dishes, or unrolling his sleeping bag for him)!!!! Tomorrow Shane is going to work and my house will be boy free.....I guess I'll have to pull out the sappy chick flicks and fingernail polish and girly it up!!! So all in all a super fantastic, first night away, day!

Helpful....

I'm in charge of an Arrow of Light Ceremony tomorrow for a boy that used to be in my pack...when I actually had a pack. I started packing everything I needed for the skit tomorrow, which of course included some arrows....since it's an Arrow of Light, duh...
The boys of course, were helping me unpack! They're good that way! So all in all a super fantastic, being helpful, day!

Apparently....

Apparently when your gas tank is really low and you park on a hill, your car likes to pretend that it's really empty....
Apparently, it's also true that there has been a bunny sighting in the house....well, more specifically my bed. Thank goodness this bunny avoided extermination (from my bed) by just being darn cuddly and cute!
So there you have it! Apparently, it's a super fantastic day!

Occupied....

I had a work meeting after working ALL NIGHT LONG last night. To say that my bed was screaming my name when I got home after my 18 hour ordeal (not to mention that I had been awake for 36 hours at this point) is a straight up lie...my car  was screaming my name! Anyway, I somehow made it to my house to be greeted by a Buddy telling me he was bored and that we should pick up Tyler and go to the Hilton and swim in their pool......Apparently Buddy doesn't value the lives of those he loves if he thought me driving him (or anyone else) anywhere at this point was a good idea!!! Thankfully the boys occupied themselves while I took a power nap...

Glad they know how to occupy themselves, that comes in handy! So all in all a super fantastic, occupied, day!
