It's amazing what a cousin can talk you into. Exhibit A....
The boys were talked into being girls in a play. Buddy wasn't so against wearing a dress.....after he realized he had easier accessibility for mooning purposes. Ah, the important things in life! The play bordered between awesome and awesomer.....well, at least if you're biased like I am! Otherwise it was pretty much what you would imagine a play directed by a 9 year old involving two rambunctious boys would be. We all had a good laugh...still not sure if it was at them, or with them, but I'll pretend I'm nice and say it was with them! So all in all a super fantastic, Buddy makes a pretty girl, day!

Arriving in style....
We have finally arrived in Utah. Overnight flights are for the birds.....or really, for the bats. I asked Buddy if he wanted to wear something stretchy so he could sleep the night away in comfort....
Apparently the waist band in his Cub Scout uniform is stretchy. Hmmmm, who knew? Besides, he said that his uniform "honored him". I'm not sure what it was honoring him with, unless the 13 hour flight time was the uniform's way of honoring him? Now that we're here, we just aren't sure what to do? I mean, should we play a game of catch...
Mow the lawn....
Feed the chickens....
Perhaps a walk pulling a wagon?
Even better, how about nobody pulls the wagon....
Now that we can relax a little bit, how about climbing a big rock just to pose for some pictures....
It's pretty apparent that we are professional posers afterall! I think we'll just take a dip in some salt that happens to be in a lake....
At least Buddy shook things up and added a little mucus to his salt...
That's my boy! We are ready for lots of adventures while we're in Utah this summer, hopefully they don't all involve salt....or snot for that matter. So all in all a super fantastic, resting up for tomorrow, day!

Anxious....
Tomorrow we are headed to Utah to go see family. Buddy is more than ecstatic to go and has been giving me a countdown of how many days until we leave for a whole month. Since he's been out of school this week , I thought he'd settle down and at least let me sleep in (seriously, it's summer, you're suppose to sleep in).....I'm not so lucky. 6:30 am EVERY SINGLE MORNING this week, he's hopped up on the bed and hollered out the count down. I just don't understand the excitement. I mean, hanging out with 9 cousins, living on a farm with horses that you get to ride and a plethora of dogs that hang in the yard that just want to play, and let's not forget the chicken coop with of course the chickens? Then you add boring things like amusement parks and zoo's, that actually have animals AND a train! I'm just not sure what he's excited about???? Thankfully, (at least for my circadian rhythm) tomorrow the torturous waiting will be over. For now, we're just trying to occupy our time....
Yep, I'm pretty sure there are better things to do to occupy our time, we just couldn't think of any! So all in all a super fantastic, are we leaving yet, day!

Camping for days....or was that a day of camp?
So the cub scouts are smart, instead of all that sleeping on a hard ground and messing with making a fire and all that outdoor living they have a day camp. Smart thinking I say, except seriously who wants to "make camp" at 6:30 in the morning. The head honchos of Boy Scouts of America have obviously not gotten the memo that I am NOT a morning person....
OK, well, that picture is a bit misleading. At least the boys had a good time...
Is it just me or does my kid have a propensity for attaching himself to a peer or what? The "peer" doesn't seem to mind too much........errrr, well, he was nice about it. So all in all a super fantastic, one day of camping down, one more to go, day!

Coordination....
It seems no matter what we do, we just can't all seem to get organized....
Of course, I'm only referring to the picture taking, because when we're talking about having a good time the boys are more than organized....
Then again, buy the looks on their faces it looks more like an organized attack on the interrupter of good times! So all in all a super fantastic, awesomely coordinated, day!

Nap time.....
Nap time is a whole lot more fun, but a lot less effective with a Buddy....
In other news, the boy tried to call my work last night to request for me to be on-call. Thank goodness he didn't realize that I store the number for my work in my phone under the pseudonym Work (I'm tricky that way). So all in all a super fantastic, really tired, day!
