Spring Cleaning with flair!

Hey, aren't you too young for a girlfriend?

OK, here is a picture of my sweet boy who fell yesterday. I was at work when it happened, so when he woke up this morning I had to kiss all the bleeding parts, including inside the nose where the blood came out!!!

He didn't want me to take a picture, but he looked so cute I couldn't resist.
We had lots of fun today playing with Buddy's new, what he calls, "girlfriend", and yes she came over and wanted to spend the night. Good thing she just lives right across the parking lot and was escorted home in a timely manner.
All and all a super fantastic, sunny day!!

Who's an April Fool?

So today when Buddy and I woke up, we decided to do some lovely April Fool's pranks, unfortunately the only person we knew that would be awake was mamaw. I guess I'm not that creative, since I think I've used this one for the last 7 years, but it was Buddy's first initiation into telling mamaw that I'm pregnant. It went remarkably well, a little too well, since when I picked Buddy up from preschool, he told me he had to eat breakfast by himself because his teacher told him to stop telling April Fools jokes, and someone was too determined to get his April on.

When we got home I already had some surprises in store for Buddy. When he asked for a snack....



He got pistachio nut shells and tears in his eyes....



When he got thirsty, the whole family got a drink of juice...



Or wait, was it Jell-o....



We were really nice and made lunch for dad. Onions, jam, and cheese, yum (this did not deter Shane from eating the whole thing and declaring it good)...




Tonight I'm making cupcakes, Buddy is helping. Meatloaf in cupcake shapes with food colored mashed potatoes as frosting. I would say Yum, but I know me, maybe that it tastes not so great will be the prank?
Anyway, Buddy and Shane got haircuts....



Buddy is a true professional...


And quite the artist as you can see. He's also a superhero whose mom stopped him mid costume painting his superhero outfit on. Jeez, mothers!
