Mothering

I'm still working on Shane's wonky laptop so my blog is doing weird stuff with my pictures and text, so I'll do my best on this update. First up.....Buddy in all of his glorious abilities of avoidance, instead of completing school this week-he completed a 2,400 piece R2D2 instead. If I weren't his mother, I'd say great job. I am impressed at his avoidance skills though...if only he could make money with those avoidance skills.
On Saturday evening I went out with a few friends for a pre-mother's day celebration, there was food and an ocean involved, so of course it was more than fantastic.
For Mother's Day, I ordered up my own handwriting necklace. It's awesome and I love it. I also racked up some other amazing presents. Shane gave me a puzzle that I immediately put together. The boys asked me what I wanted to celebrate my special day, so I told them I wanted to go for a hike. Shane delivered, Buddy slept....Shane and I made it to the peak of Pu'u wa'a wa'a, which was beautiful as always. Then we attended a play that one of Buddy's friend's was in. I feel very misled by the invitation to a "play".....when I say play, I think what they meant to say was an afterschool recital put on by small out of tune children with expensive tickets. If that was what I was told, than I would say spot on!
Then the boys took me out to get Pho, which was delicious, and when we got home there was a beautiful flower arrangement on my doorstep from my dad!! Pretty awesome if you ask me!
So all in all a super fantastic, still missing my mother like crazy, day!

Youtubing it!

My computer is on the fritz, so Shane has me on a junky laptop so I can't see the pictures downloaded, only a bunch of computer commands....so this ought to be interesting to say the least!!!! To have a semblance of keeping up with what's going on, Buddy has continued his cat therapy with Mittens, Mittens still does not approve, but is tolerating it (I'm using tolerate in the loosest of terms). I've been getting back into my running....a few days ago I caught a great sunset....and some goats. Sadly, the goats did not want to be my friends and they quickly bolted as soon as I got anywhere near them. My dreams of being a goat whisperer have now been dashed. Shane went to Denver for a work training so I decided to do a chore that has been on his list for over a year that he just never seemed to get around to. Let me assure you, I didn't do it for him, I did it to get rid of the large amount of fabric that seemed to float from one room of my house to the other! The headliner in his mini cooper has been sagging for years! It was pretty gross. So I youtube'd how to replace it, watched the video a billion times, cried a few times since the video made things look simple and I was pretty sure I was completely damaging his roof....and Voila! So all in all a super fantastic, I did not ruin the car afterall (thankfully), day!
