Osmosis...

You know, sometimes things just stick after going over them a few times!

Tour Guide....

Buddy and I just came back from a vacation. Who needs to pay for a tour guide when you have a Buddy to be your personal cruise director...

We went on a train ride at the Grand Canyon, unfortunately we ran into a patch of trouble....

No worries, nothing Buddy couldn't talk himself out of (like always)...

When we got there, something must have happened because there was just this huge hole in the ground!

We kept looking for Disneyland, but we just couldn't find it?

Hmmm, maybe someone should have told us...

Oh well, at least we had a date and drank milk out of fancy glasses, while the waiters kept their arms behind their backs at all times!

(By the way, the burps from the fancy milk are just as loud!)
Since we decided that Disneyland was out on this trip, we decided to do the next best thing...

Commandeer our own helicopter and fly it to Disneyland, oh wait, no, that's not what we did... Take a flight of the Grand Canyon with dad, and show off the matching bald heads!

So now, we have arrived home from our very, very, very long drive. To break up the monotony we stopped at an old cave, fortunately Buddy was armed with a flashlight, unfortunately he was afraid to step in...

Fortunately, he was more afraid to be left by his mother...

Then about 100 miles from home, we found the most boring restaurant that had about 10 of these...

Wow, I'm starting to think he must like trains! So for now, a very super fantastic, glad to be "out of the saddle" so to speak, day!

Oh Donna...

Dearest sister of mine,
I have some of your children. I think I may keep them hostage through the summer, poor Buddy is suffering through the agony of hanging out with them, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right?

I thought you'd like a picture of the hostages. Tomorrow I shall torture them all with a day at Boondocks!

NASA Engineer...

Our little engineer has been hard at work....

He's so committed to the NASA regime, this is how we found him last night (what a smart boy, practicing anti-gravity even in his sleep)!

All in all a super fantastic family day!

Chinese Torture Chamber...

Buddy isn't growing quite as fast as we'd like. We're trying to speed that process and give the kid a chance since he comes from a genetic line of shorties...

So for now, a super fantastically tall order day!

Expecting...

Not me, Buddy (of course I'm expecting him to wet the bed after such a ridiculous amount of liquid was consumed immediately prior to bed time)...

He was also expecting me to close my eyes when we were trying to take a family picture (of course he was right)...

All in all a super fantastic, played with cousins all day, day!

Mother Nature...

I believe Buddy has gotten tired of waiting around for me to make a sister for him (me too Buddy, me too). Anyway, he decided to go out and buy one instead, that's right, black market style, except our black market was really Toys R' Us. He's a great big brother, he sings to her, helps her eat....

Helps change her diaper...

Then giggles non-stop at her never ending stream of pee ( which can shoot six feet, by the way, he may have a sensitive side, but he's still all boy)...

So for now, a super fantastic, too bad we don't have a sibling to experiment with, day!

The doghouse...

Someone's been in the doghouse for a while....

Someone is still in the doghouse, but it's a lot prettier there.
In other news, while Shane is away at work, Buddy has stepped up to be quite the man of the house. Today he went around my car kicking the tires and declaring them "good" before we could go on our journey to see Despicable Me. It was fantastic by the way, but really after two night shifts in a row and sleeping only 3 hours anything not involving brain power is fantastic! Now on to something we never do, time to play with trains!
All in all a super fantastic day!

Puffer Billies...

Yesterday Buddy told me that when he grows up and is driving trains, I can ride with him everywhere and I can ride in the front with him. Parenthood certainly has it's perks! We also whipped out Shane's electric train set, now we have 6 different train sets set up between my and my parent's house. I feel slightly overwhelmed and wondering how I could have thought these "stages" would get better, not worse. Currently we are watching a train movie while playing with trains, I guess we just can't get enough (too bad there aren't trains to eat to fill up the last of our senses). This morning we picked up one of these....

Buddy was so elated walking out of the hobby shop, he's already making plans of all the other engines and cars he wants to purchase. Hopefully dad will be the sucker next time.
In other news, today I go back to work after a glorious 3 weeks off. Buddy and I have had a marvelous time hanging out together, doing nothing in particular and having a fantastic time while doing it! We didn't escape unscathed though. We did get quite a few bug bites, but thankfully Buddy is a trained professional, do not be afraid...

So all in all a super fantastic day!

Introductions....

Hi my name is Buddy...

Sometimes I break things on accident....

But I always clean up after myself...

In other exciting, or not really exciting but I'll tell you anyway, news we rode our bike to my parents house yesterday and then spent the night. This morning when we woke up we decided to take over a tree and start building a tree house. It was really hot, so hot that I decided to borrow and actually wear my mother's clothing. Just imagine what a 70 year old plumpish women would wear and then make it uglier x 10, then your somewhere in the ball park. It was bright pink and huge and with white flowers, a very matchy matchy outfit. Buddy told me I looked beautiful, now I'm wondering if taking him as my shopping partner in the past may not have been such a great idea! So we put two steps on our tree before we got worn out, so tomorrow it's back to the tree that we are planning to put in a rope walk, and a light (both Buddy's idea, the rope walk because it's cool, the light, because someone has gotten seriously afraid of the dark lately).
So for now a very super fantastic, if only my vacation would never end, day!

Free...

(Photos by Chad Beeder)
So the saying goes, the best things in life are free, well, not exactly free, I did have to pay $35 dollars for my medical bill, so I guess the best things in life are kinda cheap?
