Taking all I can....

Buddy now outbeats me by 2 inches and 15 pounds, but he'll still sit on my lap.......
Now I'm hoping the growing will slow a little bit, because I'm not sure what my next step will be..... Work on my thigh muscles or just expand the the thighs to be able to accomodate the weight????  So all in all a super fantastic, getting ready to hike into Waimanu later this week and then stinkin' school starts next Tuesday already, day!

Holy bananas, who let this happen?????

I'm not sure what happened, but Buddy and I went to Boy Scout Camp and then all of a sudden there was a household invasion....which apparently included throwing arrows....
Putting together a makeshift coconut trimmer to get some coconuts.....

Taking a ridiculous amount of humans that are related to you on very long hikes all in the name of fun....

Releasing small children into your neighborhood armed with a phone to find their way home without being captured (by parents...not strangers, otherwise DCFS might need to be notified)....
Playing board games that don't make a lick of sense all in the name of fun....
and having an Olympics themed all around having fun.....

or at least making fun of others!!!!

After we totally dominated the Olympics we decided to let the kids loose on the town. This time they were only armed with a pay phone and no cash.....sadly, they all lost since NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM could make the phone work!
Surprisingly, they couldn't get the floating unicorn to work either.....
or figure out that you actually need two teams to play a game of chicken!
Thankfully, the scuba diving with the manta rays totally panned out....well, not for me, I chickened out since it's been 16 years, so I exchanged my scuba gear for snorkel gear....but hey, Buddy and Shane had a fantastic time, and I'm still alive, so YAY!!!!
Also panning out, sleepovers. After the family left, Buddy has been inviting his friends that he hasn't gotten to hang out with all summer over  for a slumber party. Unfortunately, or fortunately, since Kevin moved in and took the only other available room in the house , he's been relagated to the lanai....
To make it up to the boys, we went geocaching....

They had so much fun, we forced Shane to join us tonight after work.....that is after we went to Kevin's new job to embarrass him for a little while. This geocache involved tunnels......

Technically, we didn't have to go into the tunnels, but they were sure a lot of fun! Almost as much fun as this unicorn......
So all in all a super fantastic, all caught up and hoping to never get this far behind on the blogging for my fingers' sake again, day!

Camped out.....

Buddy returned on Friday night from his two week stent at Boy Scout Camp. All I have to say is, if  I could send that boy to camp all summer I totally would.....I think he agrees! Not only do you get to build small models and then replicate them into larger models...

You get to play in the rain....
Which just means that you can skip the cold camp shower at night, right?????
You get to make lots of new friends....
Even if your friends are missing arms, legs, eyes, brains......Buddy's a good boy and doesn't discriminate about things like that! Did you know that you can shoot at Boy Scout Camp too?
Errrr, yeah, pretty certain we are well versed in shooting at camp. Buddy sadly earned all available shooting related merit badges last year. Thankfully though, there is NRA certification to be earned.....
Thankfully, there are also many, many levels to be earned, which means this boy will keep on showing up at the shooting range, probably to shoot, but possibly to hang out with these jokers at the shooting range.....
Who can blame him, those guys are a lot of fun! In other news, the hazmat containment has begun!
So all in all a super fantastic, he's planning on working as junior staff at camp next year, day!
