So we're moving out of our humble abode, thank goodness we had the appropriate wear for packing....
Just in case there happens to be a flood, possibly a flood in extremely warm temperatures?
So far all in all a super fantastic day!

Doggie days....
Oh if only I had the energy of this kid (who by the way got in trouble today at school for his excessive enthusiasm), instead I'm stuck with no enthusiasm to get myself ready to go to work! So instead of a shower I'm spending my time wisely making a makeshift doghouse, complete with a doorbell and weather vane (thats what the most luxurious doggie homes have now you know)! I love this kid, if you couldn't tell!
So for now, I'm off with my dirty shirt, sleep all day and work all night, day!

Hanging our laundry out to dry....
Not sure what is really going with these pictures, Buddy insisted on putting on a hanger and then after getting hung up in the closet decided that he should go "hanger gliding" afterwards. He jumped off the bed at least 50 times because the hanger "gave him lift". Hmmm, I think this kid is hilarious, and I'm sure thats what the other people at the grocery store were thinking with his fancy outfit of fireman pajamas and hanger bulges!
So all in all a super fantastic hangeriffic day!

Love and crafts...
The other day I came home with a couple of baby shower gifts, one in particular had a stuffed baby doll that had blonde braids and blue eyes, Buddy immediately claimed the gift was to go to Lilly. I tried to do all the motherly skills contained in me to get him to relent ownership of the doll, instead we ended on the note that Lilly is a girl and she loves dolls,( also related he has asked me several times if I'm thinking about princesses, ponies, dolls and rainbows, because girls think about those things). So with my approval he gave the doll to Lilly after school today, she was very happy, and according to Buddy she should really be happy because all she has is Barbie dolls at home (hmmm, didn't even know he knew about Barbies, or what she has at home, but then again what do I know my mind is full of rainbows and ponies).
So after school we came home and decided to do more crafts per Buddy's request, since Shane is in Idaho to do some flying it has become a designated Buddy boss day. So we have been playing with our Paperoni, I'm not sure playing should be the right terminology since Buddy has decided that continuously cutting paper is actually more exciting than designing anything, of course Jerry had to get in on the action...
Here's Buddy's ginormous pile of cut paper, but at least he was keeping it all contained...
Then Jerry had to get in on the love action, maybe she's heard about Lilly?...
Then we decided to do a little abstract art, I think it turned out nicely....
So we used the Buddy boss day to invite Mamaw and Papaw over for dinner since they will be leaving next week to go take care of my grandmother for a whole month, poor kid is already sad and missing them, but we won't tell them that until they get back! So for now we are anxiously cutting paper and the cheese (which I believe is what boys always think about)
All in all a super Buddy boss day!

Martha Stewart....
That's right I said Martha Stewart, she has nothing on us with our mad kitchen skills. I mean she has never turned a plain orange juice container into a foaming dragon, well, at least not that I know of...
So we have lazily spent our Sunday making crafts that Buddy has suddenly decided must be done constantly to maintain the entertainment value in our home. We even hand made our Valentines cause we are that cool, although Buddy made mine and liked it so much he decided to give it to his dad, then his grandma, now it is back in his backpack to give to Lilly! So for now we're resting and hoping that the craft fairy will clean up this mess!
All in all a super "craftastic" day!

School Days...
School is cool when you come home looking like this...
Maybe we should go to school every day? And no worries, he's not mad, he's posing as an angry snake, which is what he asked his teacher to paint on him! He's bound for theatrics that boy!
All in all , a super fantastic, really need a nap and it's only 3pm kind of day!

Enough is enough?...
So the cousins are still in town and Buddy has not wanted to leave their sides for a second. He has spent the last 3 nights with them and he has even gone to go hang out with my sister's in-laws, which have kindly dubbed him their honorary cousin. So here's to good times, and good cousins that we wished lived closer...
All in all a super fantastic, you can never have too many cousins, day!!!

Credit where credit's due....
So I must admit I have a very big flaw, I am not a very good teacher. I think it all started when my sister who is two years older than me started reading slower than me (which actually happened when I was in kindergarten). Don't get me wrong, I love my sister, but she knows better than to read aloud in front of me, I will step in with my amazing reading abilities and say the words she pauses or fumbles on without hesitation. I guess it's OK when it's just you and your sister who at times makes fun of you, calls you fat, and at times thrown a sucker punch your way (she used to anyway, she hasn't done any of those things in at least 25 years) , not so OK when you have a 5 year old reading up a storm. So reading duty has fallen onto daddy's hands, I will sit and listen, but I keep my mouth closed. Surprisingly Shane is a natural teacher, which I always thought he was, but to that I give him a super kudos. He may not know where places are located on a map, but that's what google is for right? Besides, if you can read, you can do anything. So for now, my sweet little boy has started into the level 2 reading books and doing an amazing job!
In other news my sister is in town, she still loves me regardless of my flaws, and Buddy has had a wonderful day playing with his 7 cousins that totally cater to his every whim. Of course at the end of the day we've had to wash the stink off of him from the over exuberance of playing!
So now we are getting ready to hit the sack after someone not sleeping well for 2 days in anticipation of the cousins arrival. And I have been lucky enough to have been placed on call tonight. All I have to say is super yipee, and I think that I have been home on call more than working lately and I like it.( Sometimes I like to pretend I'm a stay at home mom and live in a fantasy world). It's great!
So all in all a super fantastic play day!!!

Making a contraption...
Buddy is always, like I'm sure most other boys, wanting to make a "contraption". Thank goodness for my parents and my mothers plethora of "junk" to make contraptions out of. Also thank goodness for their new ant infestation, which led Buddy to be the brain child of the Worlds first (at least in our special world) ant blower. You see, my parents have been instructed by Buddy to not kill the ants, they have been told they are his friends (poor kid needs siblings) and I have even picked him up from a day of hanging out with the grandparent's with an ant crossing sign up in the kitchen. Gross, yet true. So here is to my little genius, and his work of art....
But no worries, we have been informed that these mice just want an education, seriously, where do kids come up with this stuff! So all in all a super fantastic, working on getting over our colds kind of day.
Over and out, we've got our good eye on you!
By the way if you were wondering, my parents do try to get rid of the ants, just not when the King of the Ants is around!
And in case you wanted to know, this guy is 81 pancakes high. Didn't you hear that America is attempting to convert from the metric to pancake system? Sadly, I think more Americans would actually relate. Hmmmm.
In other news, my parents house has also been invaded by mice....

Bedtime....
So Buddy is getting better and better at reading. Our ritual includes us reading him a book, followed by him reading a book to us. Works great, he lays in bed and then 2 hours later he's still doing a little bit of this...
OK, maybe it's not so great. Not that I don't absolutely love that he's reading, but the boy is reading in bed until 11 pm, and I have to go to the library 2 times a week to refill our bag with new books, because heaven forbid you read the same book twice. At this rate we'll have read all the books in our local library by years end. The only drawback to this arrangement is waking him up for school in the morning. He's actually been doing great this week (OK it's only been 3 days), and there is a new girl in his class from Hawaii. We frequently talk about Hawaii here, we all dream of living there some day, so he was so excited that he met someone who has lived there. Although, we don't know too much about her, Buddy said he was too shy to talk, somehow I'm not quite believing that story. There isn't a shy bone in that boy's body (definitely didn't get that from his mommy).

The monkey in my house...
In other news, I think our monkey is growing some more, soon we'll have to put a brick on his head to slow down the process...
Thank goodness I am a great mother and will continue to let the pajamas stay, who knows, there may be a flood! In the meantime here are some visual effects created from my own little wild animal...
All in all a super fantastic, on call for work, day!
