So today Shane and I shamelessly used Buddy's new BFF connection and had a date. I've been longing to go kayaking and Buddy isn't old enough quite yet. So we rented a kayak and headed to our own private island. We picked up several treasures on the beach for Buddy( since we're great parents and all)...

Actually not quite. This is Lilly, Buddy's new best friend that he loves. I just have to include a picture because he talks about her endlessly. Buddy took this picture, can't you see the love oozing from the camera lens?
