Driving me crazy...

I had two boys on the brink of driving me crazy today....

Okay, so they weren't necessarily driving me anywhere, but I think they did drive themselves into exhaustion...

Which is way, way, way better than being driven crazy!!! In other news, my oldest brother Chuck that I haven't seen in probably 5 years is arriving tomorrow. Buddy is pretty stoked because all of my awesomely hilarious childhood pranking stories usually revolve around Chuck...he's a bit of a legend (if you want to call someone that was always getting into trouble a legend, which we totally do) around our house! So all in all a super fantastic, driving, day! 

Parental Guidance....

So even though my parents are living in the same house that I am for the month, they have been complaining that they feel out of the loop of what we've been up to since we haven't posted on the blog in a while! All I have to say is....old people are weird. So here is my update for the week(so my parents can be in the know)! First off, my dad taught  Buddy how to drive the lawn mower to apparently get me back for all of the angst I had  in my teenage years....

 Buddy, as my ever faithful sidekick, decided to get him back by seriously putting the pedal to the metal and chasing him down the field.....

My dad seriously had to run to avoid being mowed over!

Also this week Buddy has decided he should be a crazy cat lady when he grows up.....

 Unfortunately, his allergy to cats and the round the clock regime of benadryl has put that dream to rest....

Let me assure you his puffy, itchy eyes and runny nose are truly no match for the obsessive need he has to hold and love on my sister's 4 new baby kittens. Of course being the dream crusher that I am, I moved him out of my sister's house in the middle of the night when his face swelled up like a puffer fish! But that's okay, it just gave us some time to just focus on some of the more finer things in life....like hitting your cousin.....

and more importantly, watching cars get smashed to pieces at a demolition derby!

Who knew boys would love watching cars drive around smashing each other? Seriously, who knew because it was never really on my list, but the boys LOVED IT!!!!! So all in all a super fantastic, weekly catch up, day!

Rain Check....

It was cloudy and sprinkling on and off all day, so of course I took the boys to Lagoon....

Buddy declared today "the best day at Lagoon ever"!!!! I'm thinking that statement probably has to do with the fact that we stayed till closing. That, and the last hour I was sick of getting pelted by rain so I sat out while they rode !!!  Nothing says independence like getting soaked by rain while riding a roller coaster! So all in all a super fantastic, staying dry, day!

Family Reunion....

Yesterday Buddy got to hang out with his brother....

and his Grandpa Beeder....

and Grandpa Beeder's cat....

Then he had an allergic reaction to one of the aforementioned family members and had to take some benadryl and zonked himself out on the car ride home. Turns out Buddy can't handle his benadryl and I can't pick him up from a lying position in the car. It's a serious lose-lose situation going on. In some more upbeat news, we went to This Is the Place Heritage Park on Friday for Huntsman (that means free) days! It was awesome, and free....which is just another word for awesome....

I'm not sure what the Huntsman's were celebrating for their "day", but it was awfully nice of them. Now if they could celebrate another day that would send me to Fiji to stay in one of those huts sitting on the ocean I could really get into some serious celebrating!!! Buddy has already started training for marching in that parade...

So all in all a super fantastic, ready to march in Fiji, day! 

Commemorative.....

We went to the aquarium today and all we did was this....

Cousin conundrum....

Buddy got to have his 3 youngest cousins hang out with him at grandma's for  the past three days. It was pretty boring....

Now we're back at my sister's ranch, continuing the hum-drum life here....

Sheesh, we should really look into doing something entertaining while we are on vacation! So all in all a super fantastic, dull, day!

Having a ball....

Some of Buddy's cousins are staying over for the next few days. To say they are having a ball would be an understatement.....

Now if you said they were in a ball.....So all in all a super fantastic, ball playing, day!

Macgyver....

What do you do when you've already placed your little one's ridiculously finicky headgear and he gets thirsty and there are no straws to be found? 

You use all your skills you learned while watching Macgyver and make a straw out of a broken apart pen! Sheesh, and people say television is a waste of time. So all in all a super fantastic, jimmy rigged, day!

Water....

My sister installed a new water feature at her house....

I think it adds a little something to the yard.....Of course, that little something may look a little like this....

So all in all a super fantastic, well watered, day!

Cool Cats....

This morning the kids went to a robotics camp.....

Replaced....

11 months out of the year Buddy is attached to my hip, 1 month out of the year he forgets the fact that I even exist....

I'm okay with that, because cousins are awesome and you have to get family time in while you can get it. In other news, I actually slept in my bed without Buddy for the first time in what I am embarrassed to admit as possibly months (to be fair sometimes he starts in his bed, he just likes to end up in mine.....personally, I think he just is missing someone to kick all night so he ends up in my bed!). So all in all a super fantastic, cousin time,day!

Magically...

Buddy performed a magic trick at the family dinner tonight.....

Turns out magic is a lot more stinkier than I ever thought it would be. Also turns out that ducks stuck in a hat like to poop....a lot! In other news, I would hate to be the next person to wear that hat! So all in all a super fantastically, magical, day!
