Whilst I was taking a power nap after working a night shift last night, I also successfully entertained 3 young men....
Yes, I am that good, and I will totally take credit....after all, I am the one who purchased the paper! So all in all a super fantastic, awesome, day!

How's that?
How is it, that a kid of mine needs surgical gloves to do surgery on a pumpkin....
But not to pick it's nose...
That's my boy! He's pretty proud of his pumpkin he made 100% by himself....
But with a nose like that, I guess I'd be proud too!
In other news, Buddy took a picture of the lightning storm tonight (yes, that does make the daily news because it hardly ever storms, much less, gives us a lightning show)...
Buddy did a good job. Thankfully, since he may need to look into employment as a photographer since Shane let him skip doing his math homework tonight so he could take pictures instead (Shane really makes a great dad, but a horrible mom)! So all in all a super fantastic, had to stay up an hour past bedtime to do our homework, day!

Independence....
Buddy got himself ready for church today.....
Not sure what church he thinks we go to, but it's apparently one meant to be attended by the studliest of men! I tried to have Shane take a picture to showcase Buddy's outfit....
But Buddy was more into showing you his easy breezy, casual dress style, instead of showing you his debonaire flair! Oh well, picture #1 is priceless.....unless you want to name a price, then I'm all ears. In other news, we are taking another week off of media/internet (at least until Buddy is asleep, then me and my friends blogspot, Facebook and Dancing with the Stars will be together again). So all in all a super fantastic, dressing with style, day

Sweet talker....
Buddy sweet talked his way into being the goalie for his game today.....
And then he sweet talked a toddler(who happened to be afraid of swimming), into braving the water....He must have sweet talked a little too much because at one point she decided to jump into the deep end without anyone else with her! That is some serious sweet talking..... I wonder where he got that power from?
Certainly not from someone who can sweet talk an entire family into doing this....
this...
Well played Buddy, well played! So all in all a super fantastic, done with our babysitting stent in T-1 hours, day!

Team Awesome....
Today was Buddy's last day of Science Camp so all the kids got to show off the justification of the $300 the parents shelled out for the experience. They made robots that followed a line...
Except when it didn't....which was about 2 seconds into Buddy's team's turn. They showed off all the video games all the kids made...
They wanted the parents to vote for the best video (and several other areas of things the kids had made). I'm pretty sure they wanted the parents to be impartial....but I don't roll that way, so I opted out of the voting process for this event! There were several other things they had been working on (for $300 I should hope so), but I was not clearly thinking to take a picture of it, but Buddy did come home with a book with a bunch of pictures of competitions he was in. I'm thinking next year they should forgo the picture book, save a tree and just send me the pictures so I can blog it (because that's what it's all about anyway, right?). Before they left they got to make their own gumball dispensers.....two thumbs up for candy overload! (FYI-the camp was awesome and well worth the price tag attached to it)
In other news, the boys sold some popcorn today....
And Buddy sold the boys into joining his one man band...
So all in all a super fantastic, tuckered out, day!

What?
Today, I lived out one of my dreams and had pie thrown in my face!
That one was from Buddy, he was sure to shove it right in there!
I thought it was a great incentive for my Cub Scouts to sell a lot of popcorn, until the boys unanimously voted that there was more of an incentive to sell if they got a pie in their face! Hmmm, boys, I should have known, but then again, it's been my lifelong dream and I had to wait 40 years! So to make their dreams come true click this link....http://trails-end.com/?scout=b7143cba0e352f4, and to those of you that have generously donated already....
So all in all a super fantastic, next on my bucket list is a dunking tank, day!

Manhood...
Buddy got kicked in the Jimmy Johns by accident while at Science Camp today. He was sure to recreate the accompanying facial expression multiple times after he got home this evening....
He didn't stop complaining about the pain until I gave him a ding dong to settle him down.....hmmmm, that sentence has a new found meaning for me now! In other news, we are babysitting the daughter of one of my friends for a few days. Once Buddy got over the grumps of the pain of his unmentionables, he decided to help lull Hayden to sleep by performing a little ballet to some classical music I was playing for her. She, of course, decided she should be in the performance.....and well, I lost control after that....
Yes, that is my son teaching a nice sweet innocent girl to smack her bottom to the tunes of Mozart....that's my boy. Oh well, I think she appreciated his efforts...
That's the good thing about 2 year olds, they appreciate practically anything! In other, other news, Buddy said his team at Science Camp created a house that stayed together in a 98 mph wind tunnel today using my chevron technique (it's a taping technique for securing IV's). Seriously, there is a joke that should go with that statement, but I've got nothing! So all in all a super fantastic, dancing our butts off, day!
