Today was the grand opening of Chez Buddy. Our first customer was a really old man, but he left a huge tip. Our wait staff is top notch..

A return to the classics..

Buddy and I have been reading pretty voraciously since before he was born. Earlier this year when his attention span grew, we started reading chapter books (with minimal pictures I must add). So far this year we have read, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, THE BFG, THE BORROWERS, RALPH AND THE MOTORCYCLE, and we are currently reading RUNAWAY RALPH. Such book connoisseurs we are I am proud to announce that our current collection of a classic is complete...

Which instills lots of these, so much so that Jerry has to get in on the action...

We know a good book when we read one.

All in all a good book reading day!

Another boring day...

Today we headed down to my friend Liz's house after school. That's right the girl with a theater in her house ( name dropping). Anyway, after a bunch of playing we went to get some healthy and nutritious food from a local guy, you may have heard of him, Ronald McDonald (continuing the name dropping). Then off to home to hang out and just be bored, enjoy...

I'll pause the fun to explain this one, his finger got stuck, what a boy!...

Back to our regularly unscheduled fun...






All in all a super boring day!

Buddy has a super toe...

Yesterday after our fun Buddy was looking at the sunset over the mountains and then sweetly asked if we could hike them. How could I refuse such a sweet boy, that and I didn't have any other plans. So after school, we ate our free lunch at Mamaw's (yep, I'm a mooch), then headed off for Timpanogo's Mountain. Last year we went up to the cave and I carried Buddy the whole way up and back, not such a smart move, but this year Buddy was a super trooper and did it all except for the last 100 feet when he stubbed his toe. Thank goodness I'm a super nurse and healed the toe to make it a new improved "super toe". So here's some pictures of our adventure. Here is us just starting out, and smiling...

Then Buddy decided to have a heated discussion over the finer points of providing a professional tour...

In the end it was pretty darn amazing, and amazingly cold, thank goodness for my chest which was used for hand warmers (no comments from the peanut gallery please-that's you Shane)...


When we were done we headed over to Grandpa Charlie's for some more free grub (seems to be a theme going on here).
All in all a super hike tastic day!

A rose by any other name...

Today we decided to check Dinosaur Park out. I bought a family membership since I thought it would be super cool and save money in the long run, then we entered the park, then Buddy began to shudder with fear. There at least 30 life sized dinosaurs spread through the park with loud booming noises and roars, ahhh, money wasted, that is until 2 minutes later 5 boys walked by. Then Buddy was in boy heaven, inviting himself to the awesomeness that is being a boy. One of the mom's commented, "it's too bad your son is so shy", yes so shy that he declared himself boss, and since he had a map the others actually consented. We had a great time...





Of course he was still afraid of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, but then again who wouldn't be..


On the way home we had to make a pit stop and buy more pajamas, due to a fantastic growth spurt that will get Buddy into Space Mountain and finally out of 3T....


My Buddy, pure boy. Pure boy with flair that is...

All in all a super dino tastic day!

Someone's got the cranks...

So today after school we decided to go to the Children's Museum since we were already downtown picking up some money my work decided to give me that they were suppose to give back in 2005. Yippee! Money! So while we were there Buddy decided to test out the cranks...





It was great cranking fun until someone got a wide look in his eyes and some wonderful diarrhea in his pants, so we came home which led to this kind of cranky..


Just kidding, he was posing!

All in all a super "poo"tastic day!

Buddy gets to work...

Buddy and I both had special work chores to do today. We kind of did the same thing, crazy I know! Today I got to work and wear scrubs. Buddy got to wear a fancy lion towel in public...

I was measuring cervix's, he was measuring the family acreage...
I was hiding from my co-worker that likes to give me spankings, he was hiding from Blue, who likes to give him another kind of lickin'...

All in all a super fantastic, working day!

Seriously, what am I thinking...

So again we repeated the Lagoon ritual after school. This time we spiced it up and someone got hopped up on sugar just to see what would happen, not saying who though. But he does look cute....

I think the sugar is definitely helping, you should hear the car noises exuding from him! Hopefully he will soon fall into a comatose state after doing the car races on the sink..

All in all a super fantastic we miss daddy and need a vacation day!

Just for you...

Today when we got home from work/school, Buddy immediately changed into his superhero outfit and got out super hero Jerry. He wanted everyone to see what a Dynamic Duo they are, so for your viewing pleasure, per Buddy's request...

Yep, that's Tom and Jerry in the background, I'm a great mom with a great bedtime ritual of watching TV (I rock).
All in all a super, learning about the earth's core at school, fantastic day!

Superhero Buddy to the rescue...

Today Buddy has been fighting crime nonstop, with his new partner Robo....

Robo is a true super dog, she can sniff out a real stinker...

Almost as good as the real thing...

Twelve Dollar Tuesdays...

When Buddy got out of school today, we decided to just kick back and relax. Relax in our very own race car that is....

All we needed to make it perfect was maybe a toothbrush. Oh, thank goodness, Buddy was prepared to take care of our dental hygienic needs...

So after we hung out and stared through some gates for a while with some random kids...

We decided to take those random kids to our new favorite haunt, the Mayan, while we were there we thought we take our chances taming the wild snake(Buddy didn't want to take too much of a chance and refused to get anywhere near his mouth)...

Although anything resembling a butt is A OK...

Like I said, butts are A OK (just be careful of the frequent toxic emissions)....
