PARTY!!!!
Today after completing a series of flight tests in our lab...
We decided to take our results out to a panel of experts for a trial run...
However, we ran into some shady characters...
But to be fair, we decided we should let them eat cake...
Because you just never know when people are going to want to point and laugh...
Which will just make the experience a lot more fun...
Besides, you never know if at the end, you may get to pet a bunny...
All in all a super fantastic birthday party kind of day!

Ahhh, presents.....
Today is Buddy's 5th birthday. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. He is such a great kid in every way and so kind and generous (OK I know he's not perfect, but he's mine and perfect for me). Since it's his birthday I'll revel in a story about what a sweet boy he is (because he never gets mentioned in this blog). One day last year while Shane was gone we went to a restaurant that had it's air conditioning up way too high (I have serious cold intolerance), so I mentioned to Buddy it was cold. My sweet little boy took off his jacket and put it around my shoulders and said, "here mom, now you'll never be cold". Could he be cuter?
All in all a super fantastic birthday, tomorrow the party!
Tonight we went on the ghost train, of course as soon as the ride was over came the "lets do it again", you can never get enough of trains! So here are a few pictures from our day...

Snow day....
Today, it snowed. Really, does it really have to start this early, or basically at all. At least I had my favorite boy in tow to let the winter (blech) festivities begin. We had a snow fight at his school, followed by building a snow fort in my parents backyard. OK, it didn't snow enough for a true fort, but Blue liked it....
Later today, a Halloween party, because you can never go to too many parties, (especially when your birthday is in 2 days). I'm including a picture of my parents, because they're cute and old, that and I stole their camera to take Buddy's pictures and it was there!
All in all a super "snow"tastic day!

Good Times...
So the other day it was warm and sunny, so we decided to head out for a family bike ride. After all, it is October and Utah, not usually a good combo for bike riding without having to be defrosted after 5 minutes. While we were out, Shane decided he wanted to make my child more independent (because getting his own food, doing his dishes, putting away his laundry and reading himself a bedtime book just isn't enough), so off came the training wheels. So after a little bit of practice here is my baby going big kid style...
After a heated discussion of freestyle biker styles...
We decided that it's OK to have differences of opinions, as long as the one in the wrong still pushes your bike...
Tonight, we're getting our spooky on!
All in all a super BOO tastic day!

The fountain of youth...
In exactly one week, Buddy will turn 5 years old. My sweet little pumpkin pie is growing like a weed and no longer my sweet little baby. There was a time when I remember praying for my baby to grow so he would stop the non-stop screaming and projectile vomiting. Now, every time I turn around he's grown. Lullabies are almost non-existent, and if I bribe him, he will still let me rock him, but only for a short time. So in the meantime, I'm holding on to his youth in one of the few ways I can....
That's right, lame footed pajamas that I have always sworn should never be worn by someone able to walk. Now, we seem to have a plethora of baby-like night wear! At least he will still appease my need to have a baby in the house with a special look just for me, although I did ask if he would stay 4 for me, his answer was an emphatic "NO, then I won't be able to ride all the rides at Disneyland". Seriously? I lost someones eternal youth to Disneyland.
All in all a super growth spurt day!

If you give a Buddy a camera...
So this morning I was placed on-call for work. While we are waiting for dad to wake up we decided to take some pictures. While we were taking pictures Buddy decided to take control and show his arrangement of faces for your viewing pleasure of course...
Then, we decided that we should go on a hunt to look for a wild animal that only comes out in the late afternoon, growls frequently and responds to the smell of bacon...
Not behind the pillows, maybe under the pillow....
There it is (you can't tell this kid loves his dad)...
All in all a super fantastic, dad needs to wake up so we can go to Frightmares day!

Family time...
So I've been working a ton (at least it feels like it) since we got home from Disneyland, and every day I am greeted by a 4 year old telling on his father. "Dad didn't play with me all day, he just played shoot 'em up games". Awww, my boy the tattle tell, I know Shane plays with him a lot, but he's missing the mama gene(you know the gene where you do everything right, and no one else does when it concerns your child), that and Buddy unfortunately has heard me yelling at Shane not to play those kind of games while Buddy is awake. Yesterday we went to one of Shane's friends houses for dinner and games, they had a Wii, and the family was in love. So much so that immediately I went out and bought one. We are very excited, we even got the family games one that Buddy has already requested we play for Family Home Evening! To that I say SCORE!!!

Just a little gas....
So today we went to Legoland, but since we were all still on a high from Buddy and Shane flying I totally forgot some very important business that was conducted yesterday. Like visiting Shane's mecca, the Kwik-E-Mart...
Then Buddy had a chat with an Ass (I do that on a daily basis, but this is Buddy's first time), check out the checking out of fingers at the end...
So other than driving a boat, getting eaten by a shark and hanging out with Thomas, not much going on today!
Oh yeah, there was the part where the world was saved from the forces of evil...
All in all a super fantastic day!

What am I doing?...
So a few months ago we went to the Heber Crater and Buddy was enthralled with scuba divers, so much so that an instructor let him use his equipment and went down with him for a few seconds. He absolutely loved it, and assured me as soon as he was old enough he was going to be certified. So today, I am embarking on another trial of motherhood as I see the slippery slope of future skydiving in this kid's future...
