We've been so busy lately, I haven't been able to blog, we were definitely too busy making cardboard Spartan costumes. The whole sixth grade had to wear a costume representing a culture that they learned about this year in social studies. Those not wearing costumes had to be a slave for the day and serve and clean up after those in costume. Those wearing the best costumes were given the title of King and Queen of the Fair and allowed to eat their lunches with plates, cups and silverware. May I present King Buddy.....
Once again, thank goodness for Pinterest! The day after his Culturally Costume Fair was Buddy's last day of school, so as soon as school was over we hopped on a plane, just to arrive in SLC, UT 18 short hours later, just so we could take this fantastic picture! Sheesh! What we'll do just for an awkwardly shot picture cutting my dad's head off! He looks just like us, but with wrinkles, so we're good, you can just imagine Buddy's goofy face with wrinkles and the picture works out alright afterall.
After we rested up a bit, Buddy went with one of his cousins to the racetrack....
He must've had a good time, since he's been asking to go back EVERY SINGLE DAY!
He's asked so much that I finally had to make a wish for him to stop asking.....it finally came true.....
Yesterday, we took some of his cousins whitewater rafting.....
The cousins think Buddy is a little weird!
Since I couldn't bring my cellphone onto the raft, the kids were kind enough to do a recreation of their roles down the rapids.....
I'd say the pictures are an accurate recreation!!!! After the rapids, we went somewhere Buddy has been wanting to go for a while.....
This morning we had high aspirations to reach the top of Mount Olympus
Basically, we just wanted to reach the top so we could don on our toga gear and do this....
Ummmm......maybe it's because they have a different set of gods on Hawaii (which we are used to) than the Grecian Mount Olympus gods, but we were unable to conquer it today, so we took these pictures instead.....
We'll work on our lung expansion and water bottle carrying capacity for next year! Good news though....when we got closer to the top Buddy's nose and throat started getting rid of the crud that he's been carrying around making him cough for the last few weeks! Wait, did I say this was good news....
Yep, that would be my shirt that Buddy blew his nose on after he'd completely filled his own....Actually it is good news, because as much as seeing snot doesn't bother me, it makes my sister want to vomit!!! Hahahaha! Do you ever grow out of loving it when you accidentally make your sister sick to her stomach??? I sure hope not! So all in all a super fantastic, maybe next year after our lung transplants, day!
