Aloha....

I have a migraine (thank you estrogen for the sudden surges that leave my head ready to burst and my uterus with an aching emptiness, it feels great). So I'll make this short, and possibly sweet...First up, after only 6 short months, Buddy finally went to his own class at church. They gave him a lei of yarn and sang an Aloha song while he wore a bonnet on his head, quite the introduction....Oh, and I had to buy him an airplane game(make that 6) on the iPhone, but I'll try to not pretend I'm bribing my child to go to church...

Next up, Kevin caught the critter that's been living (and pooping) in our shoes...

Lastly, I made a shirt for my neighbor that's expecting next month. It's my first attempt at craftiness (at least craftiness that actually requires material), so it didn't turn out to be quite as bad as I was expecting (heck, Shane was even impressed, I don't think he's ever been impressed with me, except for, well, we'll just leave it there)...

So all in all a super fantastic, head splitting, day, I'm out!

The Bee's Knees

Well, at least he has a matched set, and has appropriately marked them so you will know exactly what not to do! I feel like we're in Cosmo (the magazine), cause I'm about to show you a do...

So all in all, a super fantastic (except for the falling 3 more times on our knees), day!

Adventures....

Today I took the boys to the beach, sounds like same ole', same ole' right? But it wasn't, there are a couple of beaches that are only accessed by taking nice long hikes to... therefore nice and secluded. We adventured to the beach at Two Palms today (seriously that's it's name cause you park at two palm trees to hike in, oh so functional and pronounceable, which I appreciate). I imagined this beach a nice secluded paradise.... ummm, if you enjoy rocks being pummeled at you by large waves, then it was a total heaven. Let me introduce you to one of the worshippers of this new found heaven...

I'm sure you had no idea it was Buddy. Just add some water and that boy will play in about anything...

Crazily Buddy played in the black sand beach for quite a while (seriously it was hot). While we were there though I decided to do something for my mom for her birthday (seeing how I didn't buy her a card or send a present, oops)...

Yep, I'm a pretty awesome daughter, oh and if you've seen this already on Facebook, too bad, the sand was really hot to touch so I'm going to slather this picture everywhere! Unfortunately on the hike out, Buddy tripped and fell onto some lava rock and banged up his knees. It was really no big deal, but the blood dribbled everywhere making them look gruesome, so he begged to not to have to take a shower when he got home until Shane had seen them. After the appropriate "oohs and aaahs" by said Shane, I took him to take a shower. I have no idea how he lasted in his suit for the hour before Shane got home, the boy had rocks falling out of his backside like no tomorrow (and I'm not talking about small rocks either). So now we're all clean, just in time to make a new mess tomorrow.
So all in all a super fantastic, rocky, day!

Exhausted....

Yep, you guessed it, another day of bike riding. I'm not sure my tookas can take anymore. Of course matters weren't helped (for me anyway), when the older boy across the street taught Buddy not only how to ride in dirt to make dust clouds, but also stand up while riding. Thankfully today we had an impending engagement (i.e. playdate with some friends down in Kona) so our bike riding had to be cut short!! Oh how my backside is greatful for playdates!!!!

Our playdate consisted of some serious swimming at the Kona Pool, while we were waiting for our friends to arrive Buddy was basically attacked by two 5 year old girls. They were pulling him all over the keiki (that's kid) pool, all I can say is what a ladies man! He's sensitive too! While we were driving home we were talking about his birthday party (yes, it's several months away, but it sure is fun to talk about). We were talking about all the friends we could invite. Here is a little back story, there was a girl in Buddy's class that he says tormented him daily. He does not under any circumstances like Elise. Every day he would come home and tell me what she did to him that day. Well, back to the story, so we're throwing out names of kids to come to the party and he says "Elise", noticing my surprise at the name, he explains "well, she has a crush on me, so she can come". My boy, growing way too fast!
So all in all, a man's man, day!

Cool Cats....

Kevin and Shane have been playing computer games A LOT on their day off!!!! Sadly (although, in my reality, thankfully), Buddy's laptop died, so he and I have been doing a lot of this...

Bike riding that is, not the cheesy posing, although there was a lot of that too! So today we continued our good times, this time we brought along a friend and our ski goggles (you never know when you'll run into a snowstorm in Waikoloa). Never mind that Buddy is wearing his pajamas for the third day in a row...

Seriously, you think his mom would dress him at least!!!! Sheesh!
Oh well, Shane guaranteed that we will do something tomorrow (he must have finally gotten my memo that we live in Hawaii)!
So all in all a super fantastic, changing our clothes, day!

Ham...

I'm starting to think that Buddy may have a career in comedy...

I'm proud to call him son, even if others are slightly embarrassed to claim any relation (I'm talking to you Kevin).
So all in all a very super fantastic, hamming it up, day!
