Bad mommy to the rescue...

Buddy finished his homework early today and it was a beautiful day outside (who am I kidding, we live in Hawaii, every day is a beautiful day). When I asked Buddy what he wanted to do, he wanted to play in his room with his stuffed animals....is it awkward that I insisted he go to the playground to do this instead....

Hey, you can play with stuffed animals anytime, it's not everyday that your mom encourages rock slinging at the playground, well, unless I'm your mom! It's never too early to hone in on your slingshot hunting skills, you never know when you're going to need some fresh meat! Maybe tomorrow we'll work on our sword throwing abilities. In other news, Shane and I both had school lunch with Buddy. Let's just say that Buddy was on cloud 9 and several of the kids invited Shane over for a playdate (hey, wouldn't you want a helicopter pilot to come and play at your house?). So all in all a super fantastic, aiming high, day!
