Let the Festivities Begin...

So this morning I totally scored and got placed on-call for work, yay me, especially since today is Shane's birthday. Buddy woke us up @ 0830 to let us know it was daytime, which usually is not a welcomed sight and sound, but since the boys had a doctor's appointment, it couldn't have been better timing. So the boys had their eyes checked. Buddy will be reevaluated before kindergarten, since he's right on the border of needing glasses, and the doctor has suspicions that he's color-blind(not like I haven't been saying that for 2 years). Is it OK to feel bad for passing on some crummy eyesight genes? Anyway, they came back with they're eyes dilated and feeling slightly blind, but they looked cute...

Then you'll never guess what we did...We played with trains today!

Buddy took some pictures that he wanted to share...

He's using step stools as tunnels, it's amazing what you can use as a tunnel.
After that we decided to make wishes on the wish spinner. I think I can guess what Shane was wishing for...

So Buddy got to pick what we had for Shane's birthday meal, sushi-what a great kid! I didn't even have to prod him on that one! So we met Shane's family and friends and had a sushi fest which started with Buddy stretching him tummy muscles so he could eat a lot of sushi...

Followed by lots of noodles, of course dipped in soy sauce and wasabi....

Followed by a meal of fists...

So all in all a super fantastic day...
