Sleeping was the last thing on their minds! After they read their note, they immediately began to ingest as many s'mores as humanly possible in the 15 minute time frame I gave them (in retrospect, that may not have been the smartest decision). Anyway, this morning we went to go pick up one of their other friend's who was also suffering from a "case of the sisters". His case was a little more severe though, he was suffering from a "case of the sister turning 4 and having a Dora the Explorer Birthday Party" at his house. We rescued him and then we all sought some solace...
I thought we were having a great time....until I was politely excused to go sit "with the moms" so they could go explore without parental supervision. Let's pretend I'm not a "hoverer" .......ummmm, yeah! Anyway, the boys had a great time. Lucky for us, 10 minutes away from our little oasis, some of our favorite peeps were serving hot dogs and hamburgers, with a side of touch football....
(I promise that's Buddy with the red tags hanging down and running away from the human tunnel). After we had our fill of football and food we had to hurry and skedaddle to another party. Best theme ever....NERF GUNS!!!! This party blew my party way out of the water, they went all fancy with their spray painted cardboard and then they added a mix of water balloon grenades with a touch of a battle with all the "uncles". It was the Nerf Party that all other Nerf Parties dream about!....
On the way home I had to stop and buy an exercise video (I'm just thinking that the ridiculous amount of cake, juice and hamburgers today just really can't be that good for you, but that's just my professional opinion). It was a lot of fun, but thank goodness we usually just do one party, one day at a time. So all in all a super fantastic, partying it up, day!
