A few days ago Buddy got the most awesome present in the universe! He got a sulu ( there is a whole name to it, but I have the memory of a gnat) dress wrap from one of the mom's in our ward. Buddy has wanted one ever since we moved here (think dress skirt for men). Problem was, we couldn't find one....turns out they aren't Hawaiian, they're Fijian.....and they don't sell them online, you actually have to go to Fiji to pick one up. Who knew???? The only reason I know this is because 2 of Buddy's friends wore some to church one day and it started off the whole infatuation with the sulu, and me inquiring how to obtain one. Unfortunately, we have no plans in the near future to visit Fiji (but we totally should, right?). Anyway, turns out, this family was awesome enough to think of Buddy when the dad was in Fiji visiting family( how beyond awesome is that?)! When Buddy showed up to church today he got razzed a little by one of the haole dads standing by the door. Buddy immediately wanted to take it off and started to be a little embarrassed. Thankfully, his friends pulled through and wore theirs today to save the day (I didn't catch a picture with all three of them)...
Just goes to show you that sometimes if you feel awkward and weird about something, if you just hang on a little bit longer, you'll probably find a few more people doing the exact same thing to make you feel AWESOME!!!! So all in all a super fantastic, strength in numbers, day!
